And the Fun in the Snow is only just beginning....
Today was the actual first day of snow here in my little town of Stanford and it was a beautiful sight!! While I am a lover of snow, I'm not a lover of driving in it. I am one of those chicks who Loves to watch it from the comforts of my heated home, drinking a nice big mug of Hot Cocoa and curled up with a good book and know that I am safe! I also enjoy playing in it making snow angels with the kids or building a snowman, but you tell me I gotta go somewhere in it then I am mumbling not so nice things regarding the snow! I drive a car and it scares me to death to drive on snow, ice, sleet, etc etc. I had to go out tonight after it had been snowing pretty consistent for the last 2 hours and pick my oldest up from basketball practice, not to mention it was already dark! Just GREAT!! So here I go out to defrost the car and head out and thankfully "Driving Miss Daisy" was able to get us back home in one piece! I just received the call from school saying no school tomorrow, which means sleeping in, staying in our pj's all day, playing games, watching movies, and drinking Hot Cocoa!! We just Love snow-days in this house!!!

2012 Resolutions
I am about 2 weeks late for the subject of this post, but "Hey, better late than never huh?" Everyone makes New Year's resolutions but how many actually holds true to their resolutions ALL year long?? I would say hardly any. A lot of times it seems that everyone has the typical "I want to LOSE weight, or I'm going to QUIT smoking" these are the 2 most common ones I can think of right off the top of my head. This year I decided that YES, I would love to shed some pounds before Summer and need to exercise more often, but my priorities are going to be to focus on Myself and my family and do what makes "ME" Happy and not what everyone else wants me to do to. I have found out in the last year 2011 that you can't satisfy everybody so why try?? Just do what you want and what makes YOU Happy!! I have lost friends throughout the years based on decisions I made in my life about MY life and they didn't agree so they chose to no longer be around, those are the people you know were never really your TRUE friend to begin with. I am so proud and Blessed to say that I can count the TRUE friends in my life who have stood by me through all the ups and downs, wrong decisions and mistakes I continue to make all on ONE hand......yep that's right ONE !!! I would much rather have the few LOYAL than the several FAKE and they know who they are and I hope they know how much they mean to me and I only hope that I am at least half the friend that they have been to me over the years!!!
So on that note:
My 2012 New Year's Resolutions:
Live Life to the Fullest
Do what makes ME & MY Family Happy
Start keeping a personal journal
Spend less time on Facebook than I did in 2011
Keep my Blog updated at least twice a week
Eat Healthier
Forgive and Forget the past

Why oh why must it be so stressful??
I have spent most of this beautiful day on the search for a JOB!! My current job of "Stay at home Mom" just isn't paying my bills so good (imagine that) why must it have to be so complicated and stressful? The first two places I was applying for had me download the application, then print it out, fill it out, and bring in the store....what happened to everything being on the Internet now a days? It also makes it so difficult to have to set limits when looking too, just makes it that much harder, like I have to have STRICTLY day shift on account of my three munchkins and getting off the bus, not to mention having to pick Cody up from Cross Country or basketball practice everyday. Then there are track meets on Saturdays and so on.....if I tried to find a job without being so picky about the hours, then I would be paying a sitter an arm and a leg (practically a full paycheck) just to watch 3 kids!! Let's not forget I don't have a college degree, therefore any job I find with day shift hours and NOT requiring a degree isn't going to pay to much either! So far today I have submitted my resume to 3 jobs, filled out 3 applications, made my bed, 2 loads of laundry, dishwasher is running, kitchen clean, kids home from school and homework finished.......I feel pretty productive! Now let's just see if it pays off ;-) I get a 10 minute break and then we're off to basketball practice and then a parent meeting with the coach...... A Mother's work is never done!! Happy Monday!!!

~ Fall is in the air ~
Fall is my favorite time of the year! I Love the changing of the leaves and the air blowing through my raised windows! Both myself and my kiddos' enjoy going to the pumpkin patches and picking a pumpkin and they like going through the corn mazes. (I could go with skipping the maze myself) I get just as scared as a kid after 10 or 15 minutes of going in circles and not finding my way back out, especially at night.. Haha I love all the decorations that come with Fall weather too: Scarecrows, pumpkins, and mums!! To me it is just a warm cozy feeling in the Fall weather, though it just doesn't seem to last long enough. We have been to one Pumpkin patch this year, but waited to late at night and missed the hayride where you pick a pumpkin, and was only able to go through the maze and visit the gift shop. We are possibly going to try and visit another one this weekend, and YES that excites me like a little kid because I just enjoy the scenery and watching the kids look for the biggest pumpkin in the patch and I like to try and capture those moments as much as I can. I have a passion for pictures, especially when it comes to my family! I am sharing a few pictures with you from last years trip to the Pumpkin Patch with Chloe's kindergarten class just because I couldn't take one in the dark this past weekend and I feel like I need a "Fall" picture to go with my post tonight, so on that note Happy Fall everybody!! If you haven't already, take time to step outside and take in some fresh air and enjoy God's beautiful scenery!!
